Untitled Poem 1
You were the matches to my candle wax,
Clinging to our sides of string
We asked to be set free.
And in a way we both got what we wanted,
You found reprieve in burning
And I found release in melting.
Just ash and oil
We were tragedies of escape,
But our lives will always be consumed by flame.
